Senior design partner

Your product has a design problem.

Let’s fix that.

Your brand, product, and website — one designer, month to month.

Taking on 2 new clients

‘Good enough’ design is costing you.

Your team is building something real. But the design isn’t telling that story — and your users aren’t judging what it does. They’re judging how it looks. Every rough interaction costs you trust.

How long users take to form a first impression of your product. — Google Research

80%

of B2B buyers say avoiding a bad decision matters more than finding the best one. — Gartner

You already know this. The longer you wait, the harder it gets to fix.

You’ve probably tried this before.

The freelancer cycle

You find someone good. Brief them. Wait. Get something close. They deliver and disappear. Next project — start from scratch with someone new who doesn’t know your business.

The in-house hire

A designer joins the team. Gets buried in requests. Can’t see what’s wrong when they’re too close to it. Does what they’re told, but never pushes back on what should change.

The DIY compromise

You’re a founder not a designer. But no one else is doing it so you do it yourself. Everything ships. Nothing looks right. Your users notice.

The common thread? Each one ends before the designer really understands the problem. Good design needs time.

When your product finally looks as good as it works.

Your product, your brand, your website — all looking like they came from one company. Users stop struggling. Your team stops second-guessing design decisions. New features ship looking right from day one — not patched up after.

Not because you overhauled everything overnight. But because someone came in, understood what you’re building, and fixed what wasn’t working.

Fewer questions from users. More confidence from investors. A product that sells itself.

How it works.

I learn your business before I design anything.

Signal

I find what’s costing you.

Before I design anything, I study your product, brand, and how people actually use what you’ve built. The goal is to find the gap between what your business is and how it comes across — so we fix the right things first.

Form

People start noticing.

Brand, product, and website get shaped into real design work — based on what I found, not what sounds good. Customers, investors, and new hires start seeing what your team already knows is there.

Depth

You stop thinking about design.

The longer we work together, the less you have to explain. I know your business, your users, your standards. Decisions get faster, new features ship looking right from day one. Design stops being something you worry about.

This is for teams who care what their product looks like.

This is for

  • Small or lean teams who’ve built a real product and want its design to match its quality.
  • Companies who want a designer as a long-term part of the team — not someone who finishes a project and disappears.

This is not for

  • Companies without a live product yet.
  • Teams looking for one-off project work.
  • Businesses where design isn’t a priority right now — and that’s fine.

If your product is real and your design isn’t keeping up — let’s talk.

Are we the right fit?

I’ve spent 15 years figuring out why some products work and others don’t. It usually comes down to the same things — scattered brand, rough edges, messaging that doesn’t match what the product actually does.

Owen

I’ve worked with teams across the UK, Australia, and Southeast Asia. Different markets taught me the same thing: assume less, listen more, and design for what’s actually happening — not what the brief says.

I approach every business the way a founder approaches a problem. I notice things — design that’s drifted, wasted effort, messaging that doesn’t match reality — and I fix them without breaking what already works.

Owen

Owen doesn’t just design things — he understands why they matter. Three years in and he still treats every decision like it’s the first one.

Common questions

You get a dedicated design partner. I work on whatever matters most — brand, product, website. No timesheets, no task limits. We talk directly and things move fast.

I don’t track hours. I work on what matters most until it’s done. With a maximum of three clients at a time, you’re getting real focus — not a slice of someone spread across ten accounts.

Month to month. No lock-in, no exit fees. If you need to pause, just say so.

Most stay 3–12 months. Some much longer — ProblemShared is over three years. The longer we work together, the better the work gets.

However works for you — Slack, Loom, email, or a shared doc. No ticketing systems. You talk to me directly.

Same-week turnaround is the standard. If something’s genuinely urgent, flag it and I’ll move it up. You’re talking to the person doing the work — there’s no queue.

Yes, but not all at once. We decide together. Most partnerships start with the highest-impact area and expand from there. Over time, everything gets touched.

I’m based in Thailand (GMT+7) and work async by default. Most communication happens through Slack and Loom — no need to line up calendars. Most clients prefer it.

Figma for design, Loom for walkthroughs and async updates. If your team already has tools and workflows, I’ll fit into those.

We talk. If it’s a fit, we can start the same week. No lengthy proposals, no SOWs, no paperwork. Just a conversation and a decision.

When design stops being the thing you worry about, everything else gets easier.

Let’s talk about your product.
